"I know that, like a stained-glass window, I am both many things and I am one thing — what you see depends on perspective." So Kirby Brown sees it. Born Texan, shaped in the foothills of the Ozarks, pushed on by the frenetic energy of New York City, and currently at home in Nashville; he is himself a synthesis of carefully juxtaposed images. In kind, his songs are a relatable marriage of poetic observation and simple conversation — serious and at times playful meditations on the redemptive possibility of plain human experience.
